Leave Freedom alone... sure part of his perspective comes from his profession: whose doesn't? If we look at everything he's said as a whole, he does have the interest of all at heart, and a firm grip on the American dream. My goodness, some of the respondents on this site are petty. These prejudicial statements towards Anyone make the speaker (writer), not the subject of their rant, look uninformed and angry. Who among us would not want to be in Freedom's position, financially? Come on, folks, the opportunity is out there for all of us. It is because of good decisions and effecient management and hard work that the "Freedoms" of our country have made it to where they are. If you're not happy with where you're at in life, look no farther than yourself for the answers as to why! We are American's first, remember. Trying new things and places is part of our heritage. Get a grip, you gripers! Have a good day :-).

Smile moving to OR

I love OREGON!!! I am doing my homework on schools for my kids; I have two kids (11 & 5 ) and I am looking for a good neighborhood with good schools. I just wanted to say that I will be bring my two kids, my education, and my love for the LORD to this beautifull state. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Anna

I live in Redmond and love it! The sun is awsome and it doesn't get to hot. But it does snow and get icy in the winter but outdoor recreation is awesome.
I do have to say that we may have to move back to the valley for work which I will hate the gloomy winters. You should keep in mind that in Oregon the best places to find jobs are in the Valley probably between Eugene to Portland. I have started to hear alot of good things about the Salem area as far as location and decent weather so we are considering that area.

Everything you say about Oregon now and the Entitlement overuse can be said for Northern California, north of the Bay Area as well. That's why in 4 years I am moving up to Oregon. I am already looking for property to buy before I move there.
I can tell you that Shasta County is plagued with exactly what you described in your post X RAY CHICK.
I unfortunately grew up in Los Angeles, moved to Northern California, found peace. Now, that peace is going quickly. Overdevelopment, Entitlements Overburdened, Crime on the Rise, Gangs making it their new homes.
In Shasta County, where there are still pristine areas, it is going to become a real mess before too long.
You see online like the newspaper, Redding.com : Redding, California, News, Business, Homes, Jobs, Cars & Information where the Development is booming and crowding into the beautiful rural and mountain areas.
We are getting crowded with not only Flighters from Bay area, and way below that, but also the illegal influx problem.
It is heartbreaking to watch the slow/fast downward spirial of this once majestic place.
I did think of Siskiyou or Modoc, however I am going to come to Oregon.
I am not going to buy a super rich place. Small land, not to try and create more problem for Oregonians.
Just know that this problem is happening everywhere, it is the Government, the People in Control that are allowing and continue to allow the distruction of the US.
