Default Quaint small towns in Willamette Valley

In a few weeks, I will be traveling north and south in the Willamette Valley and am interested in visiting small, quaint, high-quality towns of population not more than 10,000. Hopefully they will have a downtown historic commercial district, nice shops and restaurants. In previous trips to Oregon, I loved Astoria, Jacksonville and Ashland that had the qualities I am looking for. I would greatly appreciate the advice of some locals. Thank you.

I am not sure what a "high-quality" town is but Silverton and Sisters are cute. I also like Bandon, OR

Reading what the OP asked, Brownsville is the first town that came to my mind as well. While my parents grew up there, I never lived there, but I spent most of every summer there growing up with family that lives there.

It's a neat, friendly little town.

Some other smaller towns I've always thought looked nice are: Oakland, Wolf Creek, Drain, Philmoath.

Wow! Thanks for the information. I already had Bandon & Newburg on the list but you gave me many more places to check out.

In the Willamette Valley I might suggest Sweet Home or Silverton.

I've lived in the Valley forever.... but I'm stuck on 'quaint' and 'under !0,000' in population.....
Brownsville comes to me first also...but still....
All of these towns are so close together, and quite a few have their own unique historical districts. But not really like the 'high quality' I associate with areas like Sisters, Jacksonville, and Ashland.
Wineries on the other hand, lots of those.
If you could be more specific, it would help.
