Default Commute from Salem to Vancouver WA

Can anyone tell me how long a commute would be from Salem to Vancouver WA? Are there any shuttles or options besides driving?

Thanks

Depending on where you are in Salem...from down South it takes 45-50 minutes to get to Lake Oswego assuming little traffic. From Lake Oswego to Vancouver would take another 30-90 minutes depending on traffic.

You could take the shuttle from Salem to the airport and then figure out how to get to Vancouver from the airport (I assume there is a shuttle of some sort), or you could take the Amtrack. Those are pretty much your choices.

Salem to Portland without traffic delays is a little less than one hour. The wildcard is getting from south of Portland to Vancouver, which could be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and a half, depending on delays. The choke point is usually NB I-5 from the Rose Garden up to the Interstate Bridge, normally slow on most weekday afternoons especially.

Are you talking about a daily commute during rush hour?? If so, the short answer is that it's not feasable!!

Plan on 4 hours round trip during rush hour's "prime time".
