Default Confused about OR

Ok........so tell me, where in western OR do they get the least amount of precipitation, and cloudy days? I can tolerate it for a few months out of the year, but not over 6 mos. The rest of the year, I cannot take the extreme cold, or the extreme heat. So, is there anywhere I could possibly live in OR where I can have my cake and eat it too........Mind you, I am not a desert person......I love greenery, water, and rolling hills of pastures.

Thanks!

Rain and cloudy days are caused by the fact that moisture-laden winds off the Pacific get trapped by the Cascade Range. So you HAVE TO get east of the Cascades to get any significant relief from the gloom factor. Realize that Oregon is a summer-dry climate. If you want "greenery, water, and rolling hills of pastures" where it never rains in summer, you're going to have to pay for it in the winter.
The Rogue River Valley has lower precipitation and fewer cloudy days. It is also hot in summer and not as green as it is to the north.

WorkinStiff is on a distinguished road
Southwestern Oregon gets less rain & more sunny days then the Willamette valley...Roseburg, Grants Pass, Medford-Ashland...The Banana belt is at Brookings on the South Coast...
