Default East of Cascades Oregonians, your input, please

Hello

After doing some research, my wife and I decided to move out of Indiana. Probably to Oregon or Colorado.
We have mainly two criteria:
1. Nature/mountains
2. Climate

Number one is not a problem, we know Oregon is paradise for nature lovers.

As for climate, I learned, that we can't end up in coastal Oregon due to my arthritis. The winters are too wet to tolerate it, so we should consider east of Cascades, like Bend area. I know that winters there are mild, but I'd like to know little more specifics, if possible:
Are the winters in Bend area fairly sunny/dry or are they more like cloudy and wet?
How does winter in Bend compare to winter, say, Boulder CO?

I would welcome input also from some arthritis sufferers about how they tolerate the winters in Bend area:
Has your arthritis got better/worse/remained the same, after you moved from your state to central Oregon?

Any response would be appreciated.

Never mind, I found the answer. It's not favorable. I won't move to Oregon.
