You must be about the age of my kids who grew up in SLO and are in their mid thirties now. We've loved all there is to do in Sacto and SF while living in Vacaville, but not the summer heat, smog, and fireplace smoke in winter. Yes, from my research Corvallis is a great town for families with children and not as overpriced as SLO. You are right that the money from LA and the Bay Area has made SLO-town expensive for all but the wealthy and those who've owned their homes for many years. Hard to beat that temperate weather, though, in SLO, and the freshness of the breezes from the ocean only a few minutes away :-) Enjoy Corvallis! Was finding work in Corvallis very difficult?

Ha! We haven't found any work! Fortunately I have been selling real estate in Sacramento the past four years and have made some good money. We are using those monies along with the equity we've made on our home to make a change. Ever heard that sone "live like you are dying"?
That song inspired this move. Bozeman was our second choice however, we decided it was too remote!
