Default New to Bend, need help please

Aloha everybody! My wife and I are new Bend residents and we have some questions. What's the best deal for TV? Bend broadband or satellite? What about banks. We were thinking of Bank of the Cascades or Wells Fargo. Who is good with lots of ATM's available? Third question is about a telephone. Who has the best cell service in the central Oregon area? We have T mobile now because it is cheap but the service is not always the best. Thanks in advance for any help that you can provide. We are stoked to be back in Oregon!

I do a lot of rides in the woods (mountain biking) and I almost always have phone service with verizon, even in the middle of nowhere.

Bend broadband has been great; no concerns for what it is worth.

Best Cell = Verizon, I have ATT and Tmobile, and both are not the best.
Roommate has Verizon and has no issues.... Neighbor has Verizon and hers has no issues... but his (blackberry) just does not work good! Both roommate and neighbor have just "cell phones" not "smart phones" so the phone DOES MATTER.

I have a iPhone, and all I can say about it is...... ATT is not my 1st choice for cell coverage.... and my Tmobile (prepaid) phone is a cheap nokia and does not work well.... but I think if it was a motorola razr..... it would be ok (razr's have a great RF radio in them)

As far as TV..... Dish just got the local channels..... DirecTV does not (at the time of this post).... I think you have to ask yourself how you are going to get internet.... If via Bend Broadband.... then I would say get them for TV..... If you are getting internet via another source... I would do satellite.

Great advice so far. I have verizon as well, and haven't had many issues with coverage. I can even get calls through in many parts of the mountains.

We have internet and tv through Bend Broadband and so far have been generally satisfied.

We bank through Wells Fargo and there are many ATM's around town. We've never had a problem with them.
