Default Corbett Or?

I was wondering if anyone has any info on Corbett Or. I'm mostly curious about the winters. I've heard their kind of rough with the wind? And how much snow do they get? Is it a nice little town? Whatever you got. Thanks

I've been by Corbett several times while driving by on the I-84. I used to live way east of there. It has been about 3 years since I've been down that way but Corbett was a real tiny town. I got off the freeway once to take a look at the area but there's just not much there.

Now as for the snow; There's lots of it during winter. Starting a bit before Corbett and going out past Cascade Locks (going east) It gets covered in snow even when the rest of Oregon doesn't have any. I have driven through the area when it was a white out and they were closing the freeway. It's kind of scarey if you need to be driving much. The wind is the typical gorge wind that you get all over the Gorge.

I lived in Corbett the first year I moved here. In the winter it gets a lot of snow and with the wind it's cold. Since it's in the hills things freeze quickly and a 4 wheel drive vehicle is really a blessing. There's not much there but the scenery is beautiful and it's close to Portland so you have the best of both places.

Default To much snow

That sounds a little more extreme then we were looking for. What about, Ranier or Clatskanie? I've been watching the weather in both and they seem a little cooler then Portland. About how far are they also, my husband will have to commute from Portland.

Very slick and icey during winter at times. The river being next to it doesnt help that either.

Growing up in Troutdale most of my life, I've actually known of quite a few fatality car accidents in between the stark street bridge and the hills up in corbett.

Some very steep hills to get up there which shouldnt be considered when its icey outside.

Corbett is somewhat of a redneck town as well.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure it would be a pretty place to visit, not to live.
