Default Trail Riding in Oregon Guided and not

Does anyone know of good trails to ride on in the Portland area?
Seems to me that the State Parks in Oregon are loosing the horse back riding stables. Willamette mission and Silver Creek falls have both lost their permanent stables. But there is one really killer service that will take you and trailer their horses to anywhere you want to go in Oregon. Just 1/2 hour away from Salem. I went to RR Saddle club, they are not for profit we had a great ride at Silver Creek Falls.

Just thought I'd pass it along =)

For a list of Oregon horse camps, I have one posted soon at RR Saddle Club, Live, Learn, Ride!

Tillamook State Forest has horse camps at Reeher's Camp and Stage Road Camp. The latter is in motorcycle country, but the bikers are almost all very well behaved and will stop and shut their bike off immediately if they encounter you on a trail.

I haven't been to the Tillamook one yet there yet, would like to go! Another Great place to ride is Pamilia lake for those of you who like to get of fthe beaten path. It is in Jthe Jefferson Wilderness area. Permits are hard to get, But worth it! For anyone that want's to know there is a great horse rental stables near Lyons Or, their proceeds go to scholarships to camps for low income children and foster kids. They also rescue abandoned and abused horses as funds permit. Got camping and RV sites that are great, and they have room on the holiday weekends too. Another great secret is at the end of Thomas creek drive near Lyons is a ton of biking trails, horse trails and a great swimming hole. http://rrsaddleclub.webs.com/thomas%20creek%20045.JPG http://rrsaddleclub.webs.com/thomas%20creek%20040.JPG
