Default Rentals in Ashland/Jacksonville.

I know it is kinda early, but, I am always trying to set things up early, so here it goes.
My wife and I are planning on making the move to Ashland next spring to early summer. Our plans are to rent till we are sure where we would want to live in SO.
By what I have read, seems like the best places to rent a place for us would be Ashland and Jacksonville.
Renting can be a real pain due to unfriendly rental agencies etc.
So I am hoping someone may know of a reputable agency or individual that we can contact as we get things in order to move.
We do plan making a visit this coming Thanksgiving and few more times prior to the move.
So anyway, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
White Mountain

Living in Jacksonville would work out for someone working in Medford. It really doesn't articulate with Ashland, though. If you were going to live that far from Ashland, you wouldn't want to have to pay the economic penalty of living in Jacksonville; it's just as expensive as Ashland.

Thanks Steve.
If all it all works out I think we will try and find a place in Ashland to begin with.
I know that there is much talk about the snob attitudes in Ashland, but I feel like we should give it a try to satisfy ourselves.
I have loved Ashland for years, as I love Lithia Park, the Shakespearean Festival, downtown, and the energy I feel in Ashland when I am there, so I might as well see if we can make it work in Ashland.
The great thing is that we have the flexibility to make some visits to the area a few times before next summer, so I want to check and see if I feel an air of arrogance that I have somehow missed.
I have read many of your post (You do a GREAT job) and what is true is that there is just no perfect place to live...anywhere....
I was hoping this thread would help me find someone who knew about where to rent from, but, the trips we make over there may help us with that area....
Take care
White Mountain
