Unhappy Section 8 housing

I am disabled and applying for section 8 housing and subsidized housing in Oregon. I filed and was awarded bankruptcy (awarded is not the right word here but it is all I know) My question is would I still be eligible for renting an apartment through these programs because I now have the bankruptcy? Thank you for your help.

You can have bad credit and still qualify for Section 8. Many landlords may choose not to rent to you based on your poor credit though.
