I do hope this doesnt turn into a tragedy. All the times we have cut our own tree in Oregon, I can see how the change in weather, a few wrong turns or even animals can make this Christmas tradition turn tragic.

They are home after spending the night stuck in the snow. There is a good lesson here, though - tell people where you're headed and make sure you and your vehicle are prepared for heavy weather.

It is always best to pack water, food and blankets with you also just in case something like this ever happens.

From the article, it sounds like something similar happened to the wife last year. Time to go down to Sears and get an artificial tree!
