Default Does the Umpqua flood often?

Hello. My husband and I are interested in moving to Roseburg or the surrounding area, however I am worried about living too close to the Umpqua River. Are there decent areas that are higher in elevation than the river? Or do I not need to worry about flooding?

Also, does anyone know about how many days out of the year are sunny, (not raining or overcast)? The sun cheers me up.

Thank you

Default Roseburg

It's would seem that it's sunny or partly sunny about half of the time. Months during winter will be gloomy.

I've not heard about flooding in Roseburg.

Default Re: Does the Umpqua Flood?

Thank you for the information. That makes me feel a bit better about the flooding.
