Portland Tribune article:
Chili’s restaurants closing across the region
Article updated last October 2009

The Clackamas restaurant owner closed down his operations also.

BTW: my brother-in-law operates a family food franchise in the Mid-West, Per a conversation with him, restaurants have a large short term revolving credit line because they have to buy food, and don't earn money until the food is cooked, eaten, and received the money from credit card companies. Maybe small business credit crunch did them in.

Do a Google-- Oregon is not the only state on the West Coast that is loosing some of its Chilli restaurant franchise owners operations. Again makes me think of a wider credit crunch for small business owners. Can all them shoe stores in the large Malls be far behind in closing?

Phil

That's too bad, they are the best full service restaurant chain, in my opinion. Says the Eugene and Clackamas locales will remain open and operated by Brinker Intl. of Dallas, TX. They are all over the Southwest: Arizona, Nevada.

that's just the point....

The Clackamas Chilli's has just recently closed also. and the Eugene one may close also leaving Oregon without any Chilli's restaurant at all.

We are waiting for conformation from the posters from Eugene on the fate of their Chilli's.

I had my Clackamas trip planned, including my lunch stop at Chilis and was so bummed. I don't know where there are any more. I will be following this post to see though.

I remember reading in the paper when they closed the one in Beaverton, they didn't even give anybody any warning. People showed up for work the next morning to find the doors padlocked with a sign that pretty much said, 'Your services are no longer required. Thank you.'

I will miss Chilli's also and was surprised to see the Clackamas one closed when I was in the Mall last week. Now as long as they don't close the Sweet Tomatoe restaurants also.
