Southern Oregon and eastern Oregon get less rain.

You could always move to somewhere else that doesn't get much rain.

Fer sure valley girl, Southern is the place, get that OR. boy to move you south of Roseburg, we could use some cool So. CA. neighbors.

Best place to raise a family, we of course get rain, about 35" per yr., but nothin in the summer and fall very little, hot hot hot.
Half of your depression is cured, and a light dusting of snow in the winter to cheer you up. ho ho ho.
later.

I grew up in Oregon and it was a great place to live when I was a child, but it has grown alot. I have lived in Southern California 20 years for a reason-THE SUNSHINE! As the above posters mentioned, Ashland (expensive), Medford and Roseburg get less rain than the Portland area which is northern Oregon. Please really think about your decision, Newburg is very wet and gets a lot of rain. My best friend lives in Newburg and it is beautiful in the summer and early fall only. The rain and cold all the time is depressing so really think about it. Oregon is a great place to visit. Best wishes.

I'd think twice about Oregon if it's anywhere near the Willamette Valley or farther north.
I grew up in Portland and now live on the OR coast and it's raining ALL the time except in July & August. We'll get a few sunny days in May & June but nothing like what you're used to.
My family and I are moving to North Carolina and the weather here in OR is one of the reasons. We can't stand the gray days and cold anymore.
So, if the weather effects your mood, then I'd really look hard at somewhere more sunny.
The other people that posted before me are right - if it has to be OR, then Southern or Eastern are both warmer than anywhere near Newberg!
Take Care!
