Coloansas is on a distinguished road
Default Moving to Medford Area

I am considering a move to Medford Oregon area, which will be quite a change from Topeka Kansas!. I was born in Coos Bay and raised in Denver, and will welcome a return to an outdoor lifestyle and lower humidity. I am well educated, professional, liberal and single, and am looking for a safe neighborhood that would be a good match yet has a funky soul and charactor.

Ideally, I would park my car and walk and bike as much as possible (I think everyone will be doing this real soon), so a central location near a grocery store, coffee shops and parks would be ideal. I am particularly interested in lofts and wonder if there are any old buildings being developed. Even Topeka is doing this, so Medford has to have something going on!

What are some safe neighborhoods worth looking into? I would consider outlying cities, but want to keep my commute time under 30 minutes.
