We are looking to relocate to the area and from researching on the internet, I still can't really get a feel for which of these areas we would like best. My husband will only have a few days to go down and check these areas out. For those of you who have done this or live there, any suggestions on what/where to go to get a feel for each area, without driving around aimlessly?

Thanks!!

We were in the area for 2.5 months looking for jobs without much luck. But we stayed in Sanford which is right by Lake Mary. Lake Mary was quite nice! Lots of shopping, food, and when we'd drive around the different apt complexes they seemed fairly quite and looked very well kept.

Can I ask in what fields you were looking for jobs?

Well my husband is in construction (plumbing) but found nothing in construction or service work. Although he did get a job offer in Tampa but we didn't want to live there. Me, I don't do anything special but cleaning. I found cleaning jobs just fine, but none of them were full time and we even applied for grocery stores and anything we could find. I did get a call from Publix and a few resorts but it was right after we left the area. A few employers flat out told us that the economy was so bad there that they were taking tons of applications every week....not good. I hope it improves one day there cause I'd still like to live in that area.
