My personal opinion is that this poster is of the "hit and run" type.

He came in, got us defensive then left. Kinda makes you go hmmmmmm.

^Good Point Sue.

Maybe he got scared when I said that you're more likely to get attacked by Shamu than any other sort of criminals.

That's only because of the US auto industry collapse ... same thing would happen here if Disney pulled out of town for some reason.

Detroit was just the big 3.

I'd have to disagree with you and I hope it never happens ... you really think families will continue to come to Orlando w/o Disney just to go to Universal, Sea World, & Wet & Wild. Possibly families who could drive to Orlando for a weekend. Outlet malls are everywhere now as are water parks. But it's a different story if you take away Mickey.

I know many people who visit Orlando for a vacation and don't visit Disney. Many are fine with a trip to the other theme parks. And if Disney ever did shut down and some how caused tourism to disappear, Orlando's economy has other sectors besides tourism and they are growing larger everyday.

Disney isn't going anywhere! It's here to stay! Especially with them building a new community with million dollar homes, it's here to stay...

Just like Bank of America, it's just too BIG to fail : )

Cept I bet Disney will never need to ask for a bailout, their business is built on firmer ground. They are doing a great job at weathering this economic storm and could actually come out on top. Hard to say that about the banking industry.
