Default Hotel rooms sold off in Orlando

Hi everyone!

Something I came across on the net recently was the sale of hotel rooms as permenant living quarters in Orlando (I dare say it is done in other places too), this came as something new to me as I've never seen it done before. One certain hotel I came across (which I'm not sure if I can/should name in the forum) which is located in the Florida Mall area (if you scramble the letters of its name up can make 'It Her Age' or 'Eager Hit' - hopefully you can work it out from my criptic clues) sells some of its rooms to the public, which got me interested, but after research, I read some VERY bad reports about the place which put me off, so I wondered if you folks could help and tell me which other hotels that you know of (if any) sell some of their rooms off and lot me know either in the thread or by private message.

Thanks for your time!
Stephan. (p.s. sorry about the bold writing, I had to use it because I was using so many brackets that it became impossible to work out what was the main text and what was added info!!)

I've never heard of that before. How does it work? What is the buyer responsible for as far as taxes or insurance or upkeep?

Perhaps a hotel being converted to a condo like so many apartments has been converted to a condo all over the country.

Post hotel rooms a homes

Hey, i am one that knows something about them because they are quite common in some areas of Puerto Rico--especially the tourist type areas. These places sell mini-apartments (hotel room suites or whatever) as well as renting regular hotel rooms. You buy your place and they have something in place to pay your share of taxes, insurance, fees, etc. These places will tell you about it and a good lawyer will explain it. The reason people buy into these places is usually convenience. Think about it....you are a single young person or an elderly person living alone. You want a small, not too expensive place in a nice/fun area and you do not want to do much work. They come with laundry facilities in the apartment or much more likely in the complex. Most offer laundry and maybe cleaning if you want. It is a combination of living a carefree life in a hotel and actually owning your living space. If this kind of living suits you, then they could be a good deal.....just make sure you know what you are getting into AND make sure it is a good investment--a worthwhile place to live and invest in. Get a GOOD lawyer and watch out for scams and crap. Different strokes for different folks. PS These may or may not be the best investments as far as reselling......but it IS nice to own your space!
