I agree, all of the cookie cutter houses are boring and we don't have any of the beautiful, historic buldings like thay do in many of the midwest and northern cities.

There are no cookie cutter houses in downtown Orlando or the near neighborhoods. I also haven't seen any cookie cutter houses in Winter Park or Maitland. Cookie cutter "track" housing is in every single city I have been to. So it's definitely not an Orlando thing.
Orlando isn't a northern city and has architecture that represents the location and culture it was founded upon.

Weren't the "historic brownstones" in D.C. and other cities once upon a time nothing more than "cookie cutter" track housing?

I moved here from Texas about 7 months ago and was just curious where your hometown is in Texas.I am from Abilene

don't know guys....Orlando is what it is...I travel for a living and grew up in the Chicago Metro Area. ....I see what you are saying about Orlando, but when it's filthy it's REAL filthy and there is no "organization" to it - like neighborhoods. one block can be wonderful and the next a total dump.

The other thing I've observed is very few people take care of anything down here. it's pretty appauling.
