If there were no Disney, there would be no tourism industry for transportation people to make money of off. And last I checked, there is still taxi, shuttle, and car rental service available at OIA that isn't affiliated with Disney.

You can complain about Disney all you want, but imagine Central Florida without Disney World. Orlando would be the next Detroit.

Of course we need Disney, but with them running the Disney Express bus service they are taking alot of business away from other transportation companies.

I realize it sucks that Disney is eating into other companies' revenue, but Disney saw an opportunity to make money and took it. If tourists didn't like Disney's shuttle service, they wouldn't use it. The consumer votes with their wallet.

In the meantime, people who lost their jobs because of Disney's business can either sulk about it, find another job, or better themselves through education.

Yet another reason why Orlando sucks, obviously you either work for them, are Republican, or believe in monopolistic ideas. Anyway I will not discuss this further because you do not have any first hand experience in the matter as I do. Good nite.

Actually, I work in the financial industry, I vote Democratic, and I believe in a free market. Sorry we got off on bad terms... have a good night.

Default Disney Corporate - Pay and Culture

Hi all,

I am considering applying for a job in Disney corporate.

Any idea what the salary range is for a management type role where they are asking for 5-7 years experience in analysis or strategy development?

Also, anyone know what it is like to work in Disney corporate?

Thanks,

Not my job, I wish. They hire all the good upper positions from the outside.

I don't disagree but the money you spend on the Disney resorts, its nice having the Magic Express bus. One less thing to worry about it or spend money on.

Things were alot better here before they started the Disney Express, because more people were making money, therefore a better economy. Disney employees the most $7.00 per hour jobs here and they are contributing to the downfall of this state and central Florida economy. Give a few thousand people a little money so a few "privileged" people can own yachts and luxury cars and multimillion homes. I don't know your background here but I sure hope everyone knows Disney is the devil in disguise and they do anything for a buck. If I ever have kids I will never take them there.

However we are both tired of the Atlanta area and have always considered moving to Fla/Orlando area. I have always wanted to work for Disney and now the opportunity to change careers has presented itself. Neither of us are college grads but have many years of management/public relations experence. Without going into more details and hopefully a Disney employee might be able to respond, does Disney hire people in our age bracket for jobs, me 43 and her 39 or am I to late to realize the dream.

I would appreciate any advice on this matter and if there is a possiblity any suggestion on the best way to contact Disney on this matter.

Thanks!
