Affixed a mini sunpass to windshield, activated it and have since found out my windshield may not allow a reading of the pass. It maybe a reflecting something or other shield. I haven't tried it yet but am wondering what happens if you go through the sunpass fast lane and your mini sticker can't be read. Do you get super fined even if you prove you have a sticker with money on account?

You can flat out run a toll a few times (on the express way authority roads atleast, 408, 429, 417, beachline) before they send you a fine and the fines they do send are not that expensive.

Dont think that was the question! Why would you run a toll if you already paid for a sunpass?
Sorry I dont have the answer. Check on the sunpass website. They have some cars with windshields that cant be read. I am sure they can help you too.

You can check your activity at, www.SunPass.com The info should be in the packet that came with your transponder. You'll have to set that up with your account number and give them a pin. If you don't have that, call 1-800-865-5352.

When you mount the transponder on your windshield, it shouldn't be over any antenna meshing at the top of the windshield. I have mine just behind the rear view mirror. You should hear a "buzz" from the transponder when you pass through a Sun Pass lane.

As often as I use SP, I've set up Easy Pay with my credit card.

You also register your car and tag number with SunPass when you 1st get the sticker.

If your SunPass doesn't work a picture of your tag is taken and then the tag number is matched to your account.

Our portable one doesn't always work so we've put all our tag numbers on the account. Including the motorcycle.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I just didn't want the swat team coming after me with taser guns!

The OP seemed scared that he would get a huge fine for accidently running a toll so I was letting him know it's not a big deal. That was kinda the question.

I have had my transponder go off when it was in the glove box (in cases where the hubby and I have gone places together with 2 vehicles and home in 1) and I had forgotten to put it in the bulletproof silver baggie, so I would try it in the windshield and see how it goes first.

go to the epass center on goldenrod there is a test reader there you can drive your car under to see if it works.. If you run the tolls they will send you a letter saying you owe the toll. I find my pass at times does not register and they usually notify me. . Be aware they can also tell your speed so keep it close. ... Once I did 80 through an epass toll gate... they will send you a nasty letter threatening to revoke your pass...
