Okay so I will be moving from miami to orlando in march for work. I have been reading online about all the bad areas. Now in miami areas change with in a couple of miles so I am guessing that is the situation in orlando as well. Like in miami it goes from nice aventura into NMB which is pretty bad. So knowing this.... what are nice areas, preferably with out cookie cutter houses, With good schools, safe family neighborhoods where I could rent a home ( Not condo I have a large dog ) for about 1300. I would say something similar to miami lakes, or pembroke pines / cooper city in miami. I will be working at the marriott world resort so something close by there would help (im willing to drive up to an hour)

Thanks

Conway has a mixture of newer and older homes (mostly older) and a good school reputation.

Dr. Phillips has a lot of newer developments, but the prices will be higher.

Orlando is a patchwork of good and bad neighborhoods, but in general the worst areas are in the following zip codes: 32805, 32808, 32811, 32839, 32809, 32807.

Orlando is a newer city, so there are many areas with cookie cutter homes. I would look into College Park (32804), Thornton Park/Downtown (32801), Delaney Park (32806), Baldwin Park (32814 - newer homes, but they did a better job mixing them up so the entire neighborhood does not consist of 3-5 home styles), Winter Park (32789), Belle Isle (32812)...

Good luck with your move. I hope you enjoy Orlando!

If you will be at the Marriot Hunter's Creek would be a good choice location and budget wise however it may a little cookie cutter. The next best neighborhoods nearby would be Dr. Phillips and possibly Conway/Belle Isle areas. Dr. Phillips may be a stretch but you should be able to find a home in Conway in your price range.

Hunters Creek, Dr. Phillips, and Much More OF Winter Park and Seminole County. Lake County is nice but you do not want cookie cutter lol.
