Not sure. I don't have anything to do with Polk county. But its the county that splits Orlando and Tampa. Very nice. It has much of the same as Orlando and Tampa as a whole except major sports. It claims itself to be part of Tampa. There are smaller areas like Auburndale but I do know that Lakeland is VERY nice as I know it. It's in the middle like you asked, eevrywhere else between Orlando and Tampa, Plant City, Poinciana is kinda small and country. It all depends whether you want to be closer to the Orlando area or closer to the Tampa area. Also look up 4 corners. its closer to Orlando but is VERY nice area!

You might also check out Sumter County. It places you somewhat convenient to much of the Orlando market via the Florida Turnpike and the Tampa market via I-75. The Villages Charter School is excellent and nearby Bushnell has very good schools.

I purchased a home in the Bridgewater master planned community. It is 1 mile off of I-4 and halfwaty in between Tampa and Orlando. Great deals on new construction homes. It has a golf course attached to the community. It has a nice clubhouse and pool. Check-out Bridgewater, Lakeland, Fl or William Ryan Homes. Good Luck!

Don't even think about Poinciana. Great house going cheap but good reason for that. It is a "white elephant" and going down fast, miles from anything and so many empty lots it looks like Beirut in places.
