Hello,

I am new to the area and looking for a fabulous fine dining restaurant to take my girlfriend. I know there's no ocean in Orlando but the ideal place would be a restaurant on a high floor overlooking or with a view the city or ocean.

I figure Tampa or Daytona would more likely have the ocean-view. If you know any there too that's great.

Or any fine dining restaurant which plays live Jazz music?

Thanks!

I realize you know that Orlando is inland, but am I understanding that you think you might be able to see the ocean from a restaurant in a high rise building there? You will have to take an hour drive either West or East to get a glimpse of the ocean even from a top floor restaurant.

Most restaurants in Florida are not as formal as up North so even the ones with great food and service on the beach are more cruise casual-meaning most don't require ties etc .

Too bad Manuel's on the 28th isn't open anymore, excellent view of the metro from atop the BofA tower. I second California Grill, make sure to make your reservation during the fireworks since they dim the dining room lights, and pipe in the music from the Magic Kingdom during the display. Very romantic and very good food.

Here's your spot, it doesn't get any better in terms of oceanfront than Azure in Daytona Beach Shores.
