My husband and I applied for a mortgage loan and he was approved but I was not do to my low scores. He has just recieved a conditional approval.

I just recently realized they pulled my credit the other day right after they requested my income and after they had already denied me.

My questions are the following:

Can a lender pull my credit if I am not on a loan application and after they denied me?

If they pull my credit and find I made a recent purchase like a vehicle..etc can they deny my husband the loan even if im not on the application?

If you were not on the loan application than your credit has nothing to do with your husband's approval or denial.

If in fact your credit was pulled after you received a denial (how do you know the exact date your credit was pulled?) the Loan officer may have just been running a scenario with you as a co-signor to see if adding you to the loan would be beneficial or not. More likely though there was just a delay between when the lender actually pulled your credit and when you think they pulled it.
