We are looking to relocate to a suburb or Orlando , Florida. We are looking for a Great school district for our children and home for about 250,000-300,000 dollars. We want a safe, suburb with single family homes. We have looked in the Windemere area, but don't know of any other good areas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

There are a number of great communities here in Central Florida to choose from, some have been mentioned, I would also add to the list Windermere. This is where I live and raise my family as well and it is a great area which is centrally located with great access to anywhere you would want to get to

Hope this helps

Nick

I would vote for Lake Mary. In Lake Mary look at the areas just west and east of I-4 off the SR 46-A exit. On the west side the north end of Heathrow will have homes in your price just south of 46-A. On the east side look at Timacuan and The Hills of Lake Mary which are near 46-A and Rinehart Road.

In answer to the "type" of place we are looking for, We would like a Newer community with access to shops and parks. We love new construction also. We are looking for a place with walking/biking trail access. A contemporary home built within the last 10 years or so.

Have you been working with an agent who can send you up to date listings in terms of resale homes and also provide you with new build homes with a list of current incentives. Many of the builders I have built up relationships with offer closing costs and some offer upgrade credits as well. Of course in this market they are pricing aggressively. There are also some inventory homes which have price reductions as well. You have many options and your budget will get you into a great home. I mentioned Windermere because the op may have not heard from anyone about the area who also happens to be a resident.

Tuskawilla in Winter Springs is in your price range, although some homes may be a bit older now. There is a brand new development off Tuskawilla Rd, that they are working on, right by the Winter Springs Town Center. It hasn't gone into active sales yet because it's so new. It'll be in your price range and in a very convenient spot. It's adjacent to the Seminole County trail. Great place for walking and biking. I think the neighborhoods around Tuskawilla are very family friendly. Great schools and a pretty area.
