My parents (in their 70s) and son will be staying at Westgate towers off the 192 for a week soon.
They've been to the area many times before, but last trip was probably 5-6 yrs ago.

Any recommendations for good value places to eat?
Sports bars OK , as long as not trendy or too young.
Buffets, local diners, "country" cafes and cafeterias are OK (they used to love Morrisons!), nothing fancy or nouvelle cuisine!

They also love raw oysters, but our son definitely does not!

Don't mind travelling 20 mins or so if there's anything that's good but not on the doorstep.

Thanks in advance.

I'm staying in Kissimmee right now. So far, the Steak Grill Buffet is not worth the price. There is two other buffet places extremely close by that I've yet to try.

Charley's Steak House is some pretty good steak, but the price also reflects that. Longhorn Steakhouse has good reviews across the net, but I've not been there myself, yet.

So, after three days in Kissimmee my take on food in the area is that there are three types;

Cheap and plentiful, expensive and pretty dang good, and dinner with a show.

If you choose Chinese in Kissimmee it will be cheap, but check health code violations , they seem to hold the top 10 spots of worse violations. The Koffee Cup on 192 in St cloud is CHEAP!!!! Like day Break on Curry Ford in Orlando...
The Golden Corals offer buffets for about $11 a good value but don't expect Mandalay Bay. Ceci's has pizza buffets for about $6. Those are the cheapest places I know.
