Today, a man called 10 times from the US Dept of Grants looking for someone that does not live here. He also called last week. So I played his game today. My husband called him too and the guy mysteriously had memory loss about ever making the calls to me, apologized, and 10 minutes later a woman called back, said she was sorry, and then the man called back and asked for the same person that does not live here.....SO I told him I made a formal complaint to the FTC, which I did, he hung up. I can't wait for him to call back.

I just got the same call as referenced in these other posts. Definitly a scam. When I questioned them they got rude and loud. lol I got ruder and louder. They finally asked my last name. Then they claim they have the wrong person and say have a blessed day and hangs up. Don't fall for the verification procedure. They want you to send them a moneygram. The number they called me from is 202-738-1853. then about 10 minutes after that call I got another from 87455123. same exact call. US grant dept claiming ive been chosen to get $9000 as long as I use it legally. Ive been getting this call for months. I usually just hang up. Don't tell these scammers anything. Heavy middle-eastern accents with all of them.

federal grant scam is sooo stupid, they asked me to go to CVS, and put $199.00 on a prepaid card, and let them know the information, and when I do it and they will send me $7,800 as soon as I do that, I told them that makes no sense at all she said that there has to be that much money on the card for them to be able to send such a large amount of money to me, Anyone who falls for this beware, I do believe that you will be out $199.00, LOL!

Why would you send anyone money over the phone? A government agency at that?
