I've found a rental on Hwy 27 and would like to know about public transportation. The public bus site shows a stop near the rental and it goes to WDW's cast parking lot. The rental isn't quite in Clermont ~ how much time should be allowed for commuting? If I read the site correctly, it sppears the ride would be one and a half hours one-way for just a very few miles! Is that real? Please help as I won't immediately have my car.

It depends on WHERE on Highway 27. The LYNX bus that goes out to Highway 27 only goes as far as the WalMart.

And yes, you need to plan on a full hour + to get to the cast lot, and then transfer time to your actual workplace.

The amount of time it says on the bus schedule is the minimum amount that it will take. The bus cannot allow itself to get ahead of the schedule because that would cause it to arrive at bus stops before people are there to wait for it. It can get behind schedule, of course, so if a bus arrives too close to your actual start time take the previous bus.
