Hello all,

My family and I are continuing to research our move to Clermont which now may be happening in 15-18 months, and now have some more questions.

Can you tell me which utility companies cover Clermont (34711)? I am wondering specifically about Electric, water, sewer, trash/refuse, cable, Internet and natural gas. Also, if there are any other utilities that I did not cover, please let me know about those as well.

I'd like to be able to do some research re: deposits, etc.

I know that as time gets closer I will have more questions and want to thank everyone for their assistance in advance.

Thanks a bunch and I hope you all have a wonderful day!!!

Kirstyn

It depends on whether or not you are within the city limits.

I have city sewer and trash, Lake Apopka gas, Utilities Inc water and irrigation, SECO electric, and a new cable/Internet company in my community, can't remember the name. I'm within the city limits.

I had to put a deposit on the gas, maybe $50 or so, it was returned after a year of timely payments. I don't think I had to put a deposit on anything else, although the electric company either ran a credit report or made me provide a letter of good standing from my previous power company. It was seven years ago, so a little fuzzy on that detail.

We live in the city limits, 34715.

* Electric is Progress Energy, no deposit.
* Water / sewer / irrigation / garbage is on a single bill from City of Clermont.
* Cable and internet by Brighthouse
* No natural gas in this community

Both my daughter and I live in Zip Code 34711. Our utility company is SECO, and her utility company is Progress Energy. You would have to provide them with a specific address to determine who services that specific address. Our trash pickup, twice per week, is included in our property taxes; but our daughter has to pay for trash pickup which is only one day per week. We live approximately 8 miles from each other.
