-schools going downhill? not that i'm aware of.
-traffic? definitely an increase.
-slight increase in crime? yup. people move here as its popular (safe, good schools), so naturally you will hear more about crimes since population continues growing.

i live in Oviedo and its still overall pretty safe, still good schools, getting more and more stuff coming to the area.

Default oviedo High school

What kind of stuff? Besides the break ins occurring in plain daylight? Oviedo High in particular is bedridden with internal and external conflicts having to do mostly with an uptick in drug problems.

I am glad to get them sold and off the market ? Anybody notice even a slight increase in crime in orange county apartments across from the university, noise ordanance violations no, traffic yes, down grade of public schools causing their property values to decrease no. Schools overall maintained their quality, Haggarty High School is appealing their lowered rating but was told that the standards were upped, not that they declined. As to property values going down that is not the case here..
Also think the poster mentioned uptick in drugs, I don't know of an 'uptick' because drugs have always been a problem. This is Florida, drugs are bad and freely available. whether they are worse than anywhere else it is hard to say the way things are now

I thought OHS was better than Haggerty. Private school is the way to go. IF you can afford it of course.

Lightbulb best high school in Seminole county

Yeah Oviedo High has been deteriorating academically for some time now. I believe the latter is most definitely better. I wish we could say the same for OCPS with the exception of Winter park High, the rest of the Orange public High schools are
Mostly financially and Academically challenged.
