Just moved to Groveland, right next to Clermont, and prices of pools are ridiculous here! Anyone know of a competitively priced pool company in Clermont or the immediate area? Our neighbor is getting a 5 ft pool put it in for 35,000! OUTRAGEOUS! Definitely looking for a pool deeper than 5 ft and a lot cheaper. Thanks everyone!

The prices I have heard have far exceeded $35,000. The last 2 I saw priced were not huge but deeper than 5ft and were $60,000. Check as you may I suspect it isn't going to be pretty.

We put in a pool (Signature Pools) in October (3 ft deep to 6 ft deep), pool patio and deck with brick pavers, completely screened-in, for a total of $36,790. We had other bids exceeding $40,000.

We purchased the heat pump and pool cleaner from Pinch-A-Penny when they had their anniversary sale.

The staff at Signature Pools were great to work with.

All you can do is get bids from several pool companies, research their reviews, and then make your choice. This is what we did.

P.S. - We live in Clermont.

Wait and go to the home show at the convention center--you can usually find great deals there because of the competition and the fact that people don't think about putting in a pool in October when it's starting to cool down. I have a friend who saved over 40% off what he had been quoted in April by waiting until fall and buying at the Home Show. He still paid almost $50K for his pool.

You might want to look into a fiberglass in-ground pool as opposed to concrete. My dad installed one in his home a few years ago, along with a patio around it and screen for something like $15k, maybe less. Don't quote me on the price, but I still think it's significantly less than concrete and looks pretty much the same.

I should have clarified the purchase of our pool.

We signed a contract in August, and the pool was completed in the middle of October.
