Since world class attractions and great beach getaways are right in your backyard, where do you all go for a vacation? Just curious.

In the past few years I have been to New Orleans, Las Vegas, New York City, Seattle, Atlanta, Houston, Boston, and various other places. I have also stayed a few weekends at Disney and the beach. Floridians vacation just like everyone else.

I'm assuming he/she means in general from the other posts ha ha.

I see I'm not the only one to stay in the LBV area or a Disney stay sometime.

As Far as Vacation I'm young, I stay in my state pretty much, I'm afraid to travel right now.

Clearwater
St. Petersburg
Ormand Beach
Ft. Lauderdale
Brevard County

and or sometime a day trip to anywhere and come on back home. It's pretty relaxing to get away from surroundings every so often!

Those are ones I've done in the last few years as well. Hollywood is Miami for me, same metro lol. Siesta Key is on the list for sure.

Funny you should ask… I've always thought that the nice thing about living where you used to vacation is that you can vacation somewhere else (or stay right here)! So now I vacation in/at:

Siesta Key (Sarasota), FL
Venice, FL
Key Largo to Key West
Aruba

and the biggie one coming up is Panama (country).. That's another nice thing about living here, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to fly to points south!

NC is number 1 destinations for all Floridians, lol. Believe me. They (we) are everywhere- some vacation and go home, and probably half of them end up moving here it seems lol.
