I'm renting a condo in this area and not exactly sure what my best options are. it looks like they only are set up for at&t, Brighthouse (the devil) or direct tv. I actually have brighthouse now and think it's expensive but it has the convenience of packaging tv and internet. We're trying to decide if its cheaper and worth it to get at&t, try direct tv and their contracts OR cancel brighthouse in my name and re sign in my wife's to get the "new customer" prices.

I've had all three and swear by DirectTV. AT&T is a lesser evil than Brighthouse IMO though featured clueless installers (yes plural, because it took three separate attempts to hook up service). FYI, I think they all have contracts so that's not really a determining factor. Lastly DirectTV will fritz out when there is a major thunderstorm coming at you, but it typically lasts a short period of time.

Thats what I was worried about. The storm outages. The pricing though seems too good to pass up. For what Im interested in at&t will cost about 70 a month for 6 months followed by a hike to around 110 a month BEFORE taxes.

Brighthouse for similar lineup is 104 a month before taxes for a year and they said after a year to call them back to "negotiate" otherwise it will go up about 20 more dollars.

Direct tv however for what Im looking for is 35.99 a month for a year, and 65 a month for the second year. Even though the other packages included internet, I figure even with internet through a third party its cheaper...

Decisions Decisions...

Do Direct And Get Internet Trhough A Third Party. I Use to be an AT and T fan but trust me their service is HORRIBLE. I'm not saying that to dow them but I have friends with the service who can barely come online because it always goes out or needs a check up lol. Brighthouse is hated yes but they are simply the best for a package. They can't be beat along with during storms and important weather events you can find things much easier
