poinciana (work, homes, quiet)

hi, i live in miami and i want to move to poinciana, that is a good place to live, i have 3 kids and i looking for better place to live ... any sugestions.

You should do a search on this forum about Poinciana. There is a lot of information (good and bad) about that area.

Not a bad place to live the Traffic is not that great right now but getting better .. and let me tell you You can get a Home Real CHEAP !! lots of Forclosures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!! people are moving out of here left and right because they can no longer afford there homes.....
the schools are NOT GREAT! but where in florida are they great! unless you pay for Private as we do !..

the traffic is not bad like people say,it is dangerous though becuase people want you to do 20-30 miles over the limit and cut you off on merge lanes its the worst at john young turning on to cypress where people don't feel they need to wait in line like the rest of us and then try to cut in to the turning lane on the solid line(i do not let them)a nice solid divider would help out a bit with that though...They are making it wider in places which I think will make it worse it will only give the jerks more lanes to pass in and out of..It is a nice place with a lot of parks for the kids though and they are not over crowded like parks in areas i have been in before..I can't see where people are saying there is nothing to do though becuase we do have the parks and a lot of nature trails and the library(good for families) just not a lot of partying places which seems to be what most people want now a days
the only bad thing (aside from the selfish drivers)and is why i'm looking to move is it takes too long to get to work everyday

Shell, I So agree with you about the Drivers what gives them the right to edge their way in on a solid that just ircks me to no end, i think they need to do the dividers like they did on 192 ...that will stop them because most of them pulling that crap are people with Expensive Cars with loud music and fancy rims that im sure they can;t afforD!

Like the others have said, the schools there are not that great and are extremely overcrowded, however, that is not such a big problem on the Polk county side of Poinciana. My sister lives there and is very happy. It is quieter and safer in my opinion. Good luck!
