Unsurprisingly it is in the Pine Hills area. It is still disturbing though - thanks for the info.

it's horrible, but remember the area that this is happening in... take pine hills crime along with parramore, and we'd have a low crime rate imo. these crimes are happening in the same areas day after day. it still sucks.

I guess you have to keep things into persective. This would be the same as if I were to post all the crimes that happen in the L.A Watts and Compton areas. I know there's stuff going on there but I don't really care enough to even read about it 'cause it's not an area I would recommend anyone that has no business there going to. Nor would I find myself even remotely close to there.
I appreciate that you want to warn us about crimes in Orlando and every crime is one too many, but given the fact that the majority of the crimes that happen are in the same areas all the time (and have for years as far as I remember), just makes me wonder how unsafe Orlando actually is at the moment. Of course there's more crime and traffic etc in Orlando than there was years ago...but there are also more residents and tourists coming to Orlando every year. And yes you have to be carefull and smart about it. But that goes for every city and country I have ever been too. My apologies I don't want to take anyone down but I just had to reply to this post. I was in Orlando a few days ago and to me it still had the great vibe it always had. And yes I do know what it is like to live in Orlando and no I had not been doing the tourist thing. Not this time. I agree with LABlue; Orlando is a growing city so you are going expect to crime to go up but it has been in specific areas; to those considering Orlando, I think it's a great place and like all cities just know what areas to stay away from

I know the news is more exciting when they say restaurant "instead" of "club" but this "restaurant" is only open after 8pm on Friday and Saturday nights.
It is NOT is the area known as Pine Hills it is in West Orlando. People were NOT there having a nice leasurely meal with Dad, Mom. and 2.5 kids. It's a club!!!! Lots of liquor involved.... Sorry to ruin your well planned out mass hysteria attempt. |

Don't you mean "Crime Hills".. we don't even go through there in the daytime.
Did they ever change the name in Metrowest? speaking of.. So it was in a club? That doesn't surprise me, it seems to be rampant everywhere now. Orlando I knew when I lived there was in the top 25 and they said it was going to rapidly increase towards one of the most dangerous cities to live in. It makes me sad to see that, ppl say its all the gangs from Louisiana, others say its the drug rings.. etc etc. I just wish ppl would lose the anger and animosity towards each other and live in happiness.. however that will never happen so thank god all cops think they are in Dade Co. on an episode of cops. lol |

the article clearly states it was a retraunt not a club, so it is not some well planned out hysteria attempt. |
