In about 6 months, my boyfriend and I are planning on moving to the Orlando area. He will be working at Orlando International Airport, and I will be working at Disney, so we are looking for a place that is really no more than 20-30 minutes way from each place for an easy commute.

I just came back from Orlando, and was staying with a friend who lived right near the airport at Camden Lee Vista (right off of 528) and while the area wasn't too bad, I wasn't crazy about the apartments themselves. I've checked out a lot of places online, and saw a few that 'looked' really nice..

The Place on Millennia Boulevard
Belleza
Camden Hunter's Creek
Falcon Square

Some of these got horrible reviews on apartmentratings.com, and some were too far for him to drive to the airport. I have no idea where to look, but we would just like a safe area that isn't outrageously priced (our budget is around 1100-1200). Would it be better to stay near the airport, try and rent near Kissimmee? Any info is greatly appreciated, because I am absolutely clueless!

South Chase, Hunter's Creek and Williamsburg are the areas that are between you're two places of employment. Keep in mind that people posting on the boards are generally disgruntled, not many satisfied residents take the time to post unless they have some type of spectacular experience. Most gripes you get with apartment complexes are with the management. These areas are all fairly nice from what I've heard.

Thanks for the input...I understand that most people won't post, but I appreciate you giving me some sort of step in the right direction. Thanks!

The Place on Millennia Boulevard is not in a safe neighborhood.

Not disgruntled, just wouldn't live in that vicinity--and I think most if not all on this board will agree.

Hunter's Creek is in between both places and a very nice place to live. South Chase is also good if you don't have kids (you didn't mention that). If you do have kids, then just Hunters Creek
