Default Homes for less than 80K and in a good neighborhood

Hello all,

I just found this site, and have been searching for a new home in Orlando that's decently safe. I've been renting by Curry Ford & Semoran recently, and am disgusted with the crime in the area. I'm trying to find a home to purchase, but want something way safer than this area. I currently work in downtown, but with all the crime in the heart of orlando, I am considering moving slightly north. Where do you think I should look if I wish for my commute to be as close to 30 min to work.

Thanks for the replies,
Michael

Most areas of Seminole County fit your criteria. There will be homes in your price range, you just have to look for them. Try Altamonte Springs or Longwood.

The OP is looking for homes in the 80K range and wants a good neighborhood.

That's going to take around $150K and up range in many parts of Seminole County for a safe area.

There are a number to be had in that price range. I'm sending you some listings via direct mail that fall in that price range that are in decent areas.

Agreed. My neighborhood is very safe and in a good part of town. You can get a house in that price range as well.

You could look in the Williamsburg area off Central Florida Parkway near SeaWorld. Most of those homes are late 70s early 80s construction, you could EASILY find one for $80k or less. As old as the neighborhood is, the HOA is very involved and its an incredibly safe and very friendly area

Its close to the attractions as well as I-4, Downtown beign 15 mins away if traffic cooperates

Curry Ford and Semoran is pretty rough. Back in the 1990s it wasnt so bad, but now...umm yeah. That area will enver change, it looks exactly the same as it did in the late 1990s when I lived near there, only there was less crime then.

Williamsburg is at the cross streets of Central Florida Pkwy and Orangewood Blvd, right between I-4 and John Young Parkway in the 32821 zip, check it out. I lvied there for a short time, and my grandmother has had her home there since 1988 and she loves it
