I'm not much of a "mall person" but it my view The Millenia Mall is the nicest one in O town. And it would also be on your way if your driving from Orlando to Tampa. It is right of 1-4 (I think the Conroy rd exit).
I don't know of any mall that has a skating rink but it does have a food court and really nice shops and eateries-Cheese Cake Factory etc.

There is really nothing for kids at Millenia. There is a small kids play area at Florida Mall, but it's more for toddlers.

No ice skating rink at any malls.

Maybe shopping at the Disney marketplace would be your best bet--tons of stuff for kids there.

The only mall that has a good amount of entertainment would be Festival Bay, with a movie theater, arcade, indoor mini-golf, and skatepark (until January). Sadly, there is little else there outside of Bass Pro and Ron Jon.

I'd recommend Downtown Disney or CityWalk at Universal Orlando. The malls here aren't really centers of entertainment as much as they are pure shopping/dining experiences. Festival Bay is the only thing that comes close and it's not a place I enjoy going. It's so empty it's almost spooky. You might want to check out the Premium Outlets on I-Drive next to Festival Bay. It has a few things for kids, like a small train they can ride if they're small and some sort of bungee jumping contraption.

The Mall at Millenia is by far the nicest mall.

Has anyone been to the restrooms in Festival Bay? You go into the interior portion of the mall (where the employees enter and exit their stores). Nothing but white walls and a LONG pathway to the restrooms. There was a storm out the last time I was there, and I almost started to panic about the thought of there being a power outage with me in that corridor all alone. Creepiest thing ever! Whew!

Florida Mall is probably the best all around mall in Orlando. Millennia just doesn't have the basic stores like Dillards, JCP etc. where you can get good deals

Yep, I have! That mall was just the product of bad planning and bad design.

haha I remember that long hallway now. Kinda felt like I was in the Matrix. Hopefully the new owners can do something nice with the place....
