So here's the deal. My mom filled out a title transfer form for my car so it will be in my name. She did that about a year ago. Now, I haven't been able to afford to actually do the transfer (sometimes having problems affording rent and various other bills in the first place). In a better financial situation now to do so, but now the information on the title transfer (which is one the certificate of title) is a bit outdated. Specifically the sold by date, the address (i've since moved to a new place now) and milage.

Will I have simply just pay the late fee for doing this late, or am I going to have to get a new form for my mom to fill out with more updated information (and anything else I might have to do)?

If you want to make it as simple as possible, have your mom apply for a duplicate title and do the transaction when she gets it.
