Easy......Celebration.

Centraly located and within practically a stone's throw from just about anything you can think of.

Caveat: If you and your husband enjoy fine dining, run away from the crap restaurants on 192! (with VERY few exceptions!)

Old Town can be wicked noisy. Especially @ night. (If you're in the North Vilage area)

Exclamation where to live

Celebration is creepy. You know how you can't get those dark black gum stains off the sidewalk? Well, they disappear in celebration.

Default A TV set?

I like that. To me it's a cross between the original Stetford Wives and an English TV series from the late 60s called The Prisoner starring Patrick McGoohan.

I've sold houses in both areas. I wouldn't say one is better than the other. It will depend on your parameters. Both areas have good schools.

Celebration is a self contained community with new homes and small villages within it. It's pricey. There are fees in addition to the homeowner's association fees that you will have to consider. You are buying into a Disney dream and there is a price for it.

However, there are pros. Your kids can walk or ride their bikes to elementary and middle school. There is small cozy hometown feeling to Celebration and there are a lot of community activities.

Windermere is different. There are really two Windermere's. Old Windermere consists of dirt roads and the houses are older and most people who are living here are moving there because they are into the lake front lifestyle. You have access to the chain of lakes if you live in Old Windermere. It's very cliquish but the people are friendly and they are committed to keeping the charming small town atmosphere the way that it is. The one negative is that Main Street traffic is a nightmare during rush hour since Main Street is a two lane road. Old Windermere is also known for Isleworth, a gated lake front golf course community where celebrities like Tiger Woods and David Siegel live.

New Windermere consists of the Windermere zip code but is really Orange county. It is places like Keene's Point, Providence, Horizon's West etc. Brand new subdivisions with golf courses and gated communities. There are good schools here as well and the area is growing fast along the 545 corridor.

Hope that helps. I'd say take the time to spend a day or two in Celebration and then do the same with Windermere to see which one fits your lifestyle best.

Default clebration or windermere

both are good choices. the question is will the rent be only 1500? you might also look to Hunter Creek so you can have some more options, or Dr. Phillips

Celebration......Wins, hands down! Stay away from Hunters Creek. I know someone who is a 911 Operator, who logs many 911 Violent calls from that area. Windermere...... they are Celebration wanna-be's!

We should have more areas like Celebration. There is Magic in that Town... it's called 'A Community' so You can have the other area's that pretend to have 'that sense of community' but just know that You will not find that type of Community anywhere else in Central Florida. That is the real 'Main Street USA' so......now i'm confused...... You feel Creepy in that type of Town? Hmmmmmm
