I would also add Oviedo and the Lake Nona area. Celebration, Hunters Creek also nice. Nice neighborhoods in Orlando are Baldwin Park, Belle Isle, College Park, SoDo/Delaney Park, Colonialtown, Thornton Park.

Thank you all. Are most of these towns on the north part of orlando or south? I read somewhere to stay away from southeast

Most of the safer areas are to the Northeast in Seminole County. Lake Mary/West Sanford, Longwood (west side), Altamonte Springs (NW side primarily), Oviedo, Winter Springs (east side) and Casselberry (southern half). In Orange County (Orlando) Winter Park and Maitland share similar characteristics to Seminole County. The commonality between all of these areas is their good schools. The SE side of Orlando is okay, though some areas along 436 (Curry Ford and 436 for example) are to be avoided. I would say more universally the west side of Orlando is an area of most concern with areas such as MetroWest and Pine Hills leading the pack.

MetroWest leading the pack!? Would you live near Parramore or near Americana.

Tell me exactly where in Metrowest that you would fear for your life.

Now I will admit I personally wouldn't live near Raleigh/Kirkman... but MetroWest is far from the war zone that some would have you believe.

Along with Dr. Phillips and Windermere, MetroWest belongs to some of the best school districts in Orange County.

It's not about actually fearing for your life, rather a perception of insecurity. One can argue whether or not it's legitimate but if you see things in your neighborhood/area that make you feel uncomfortable living there probably isn't a good idea. Neighborhoods such as MetroWest make some question overall security. Americana and Parramore are obvious for most and don't require a cautionary note.

Again... you stated:
"I would say more universally the west side of Orlando is an area of most concern with areas such as MetroWest and Pine Hills leading the pack."

That is a very broad statement.... and for the OP who probably does not live in Orlando, you have made it seem like Metrowest is the worst of the worst. So no.. Parramore and Americana are not OBVIOUS in this case.
