these reallty are not good options .....check lake county are ...north of apopka lots of cheaper homes (like mine) for sale ... but smaller areas ...less traffic good neighbors only a 30 min drive back into town ......stay clear of 32807 and 32805 ...we lived in azalea park about 5 years ago and the swat team was always at the house across the street ....

It could just be that your realtor specializes in poinciana and doesn't have a great grasp on values in other areas. You can find nice lower priced homes and especially townhomes in Winter Springs, Casselberry, Winter Garden, Ocoee, Oviedo, waterford, Avalon, maybe lake nona.

There are a Ton of possibilities. Everyone wants to know.... what's the criteria?

Hi, I lived in Poinciana and loved it. Due to my husband health we decided to move to TN where my sister lives. I'm in Knoxville now and have my house on the market. I can't wait to get back to Poinciana. I am going to buy another home in SolaVita. I think Poinciana is a very nice place to live.

south apopka is ghetto. look at the apartments off clarcona rd.
they look like project housing to me

washington shores?? lol
thats located off of ivey lane and columbia st. close to lake mann projects

azalea park is next off semoran aka the new pine hills. lots of home invasions and gang activity.

your best bet. stay in poinciana LOL

My advice: move northward, or perhaps to Lake Mary, Oviedo, etc...

Out of the dump poinciana is on a distinguished road
Thumbs down If you don't live there don't move there

I can speak with authority having lived in Poinciana for almost ten years 1997-2006. The only real reason any one ever had to live in Poinciana was economic. I and many others bought in Poincina due to the lower home prices. However in this economy of falling equity and a buyers market those days are gone. What is left for those already living in Poincina - a glut of vacant and foreclosed homes. Ever increasing crime and restless young people. More over lets not forget the 1.5 + commute to downtown Orlando.

When I first moved to Poinciana it was a very pleasant place. However over the last 3 years crime has sky rocketed. Funny thing is APV use to have security vehicles that patroled the villages. However after hurricane Charlie we never saw security vehicles again. That is not to say the hoa fee's went down, actually they increased.

In my last 3 months in Poinciana there was an attempted murder just 2 blocks away from me and an actual murder 1 block away from me. I lived on the Osceola side sorrounded by homes from 1-9 years old.

The traffic in Poincina is rediculous!
