I do not know much about the schools but I do know that Davenport is growing and is becoming a pretty nice city. When I was growing up Haines City had a horrible reputation for crime and lack of quality of life but it is slowly headed in a better direction. However, I would stick closer to Davenport or even South Clermont IMO. Hope this was helpful - Good Luck!

Hi. I am planning to move to Davenport for the winter. Does anyone know anything about the Village of La Casa Del Sol? It's a 55+ community on route 27. All the information I've been able to get is advertising from them. I'd love to get some personal experience info. I don't mean crime stats from the area (!) just the Village itself. Thanks...

Stay away from the Casa del Sol, new owners have destroyed what was once a wonderful little park. Beware of the lease arrangements, and be warned they will break your lease anytime a higher paying tenant rolls in.
