I am a realtor who will be relocating to Winter Garden/Windermere area and I am wondering if anyone on here is working for a time share company...I hear that good sales people are making $100-150K in this business. Any information will be appreciated.
Also if anyone owns a time share, who did you buy from and what did you like and dislike about the people involved in the sale and the whole package you purchased. I will be shopping for a job/career and of course I will want to buy a time share in the same company that I work for. |

Hi there Mermaid, I can't seem to find any responses to your posting. Did you receive any? Happens that my circumstances are similar to yours, and the information you seek/sought is exactly what I'm attempting to wrap my mind around. Hope to learn from you... skipfires |

Skip,
I don't know but competition here is high in regards to the timeshares, which are now being called Vacation Ownership...Try big names like Wyndham Vacation Ownership and Hilton V.O. But the 6 figures salary... seems too good to be true.. things are bad... do more research.. |

Wow, You guys are responding to my post a whole year later. I forgot my username so I had to make up a new one. I guess I liked my first one. Ok, I have worked at 2 resorts and have some experience now...and yes, times are getting tough. The first company I worked at I did pretty well sales wise but it was a short stay because I did not like or trust the executives (although I did love the product and did buy it). The second Resort I landed at... I really liked the company and they were very honest, upfront, and made sure that the customer left happy sale or no sale. They, however did not expect a slow summer and had to fire my entire training class and then some.
So now I am back into Conventional Real Estate for now and expecting another major challenge. I have to believe that with a lot of hard work, I will do well. |

The b=numbers you quote are in fact accurate for some, not all agents. There are several companies beside Westgate and they are doing jsut fine , even in this market. There is good potential in the industry for what you want to do. Good luck.
