The cheapest ways I have found to get cash is in the grocery stores as a debit transaction or from credit union atms, they seem to have the lowest fees I've seen.

I work for Wawa, and we are expanding Wawa to Florida, and eventually we are going to expand to the Carolinas, especially the Myrtle Beach area.

Check to see if your mother's bank is on their partner list. Here's the link:
Publix Presto! Network Members
Also, don't forget she should be able to get cash back for free at a point of sale transaction. I've been known to buy a pack of gum just to get $40 in cash.

I know some places let you get back more like $100 (Walmart) Even if Presto doesn't charge, does your bank?
I'd like to see WaWa here too!

I remember Wegman's. I think they may be way too upscale for most of the Orlando area although ,they may be successful in areas like Lake Mary and Wndermere.

Wegman's isn't all that upscale--they are like a cross between Fresh Market and Publix. I don't see it doing well in Pine Hills, but the northern suburbs, Clermont/Montverde, Waterford Lakes areas would be perfect for them.

Wegman's kind of reminds me of the old Gooding's stores.

I haven't been in a Goodings that didn't make me want to scream and run far away in the past 15 years. Were they at one point in time nice?

Publix Now Charging ATM Fees
Publix now is charging $2.00 per transaction, in addition to what your own bank/financial insitituion charges. This applies to 99% of Publix customers who do not belong to one of three credit unions. STOP this gouging of customers. Shop elsewhere, show Publix they can't do this to us. Publix owns Presto and pockets 100% of these fees

DoctorEd,
If your bank is on presto, no fees.
If your bank isn't on presto, they have to use star, NYCE, Pulse, et al. Publix charges you and pays fees to them.
BeckyCat,
If you bank charges you, get a new bank.
Annerk,
I will add my vote for wegmans. I would have loved one in fredonia when i was up there for school, but i heard through the grapevine that they wouldn't consider an area with under 50k people. But I wouldn't hold my breath for weggers. Someone get me their cheese counter tho.
I want to know when we're going to get a trader joe's.
