Yes, I agree...be careful. There's been plenty of times when I wanted to do the same thing or slam my brakes when someone is riding my bumper but if they're crazy enough to drive like that, then they could be crazy enough to pull a gun on you...

Thank you guys for the advice.....i just here stories like what Backtofl says about the traffic and what other people say and things that i see and it makes me think that there are no rules in Orlando when driving until someone sees a cop....unless you see a cop around it seems people do what they want.......i was at work tonight delivering pizzas and saw 2 incodents where people thought it was ok to make a U-Turn at a red light.......i keep saying where is the fu>?#$%!!! cops when u need them?........

some might say they have more work than we know of and i can see your point but my father worked as a cop so i know how it is in that aspect....i heard the stories as a kid.......but really in my experience out here the cops are stoping the wrong people.....they always get you if you are 3 miles over the limit or if you have a busted light......they never are never around in serious situations as far as traffic until there is a body going into an ambulance on a strecher.....and i am sure that lots of people report things they see to the dispatcher if someone is driving wrecklessly out there but i bet those dispatchers are told that any complaints like that arent important and to just brush them off and that is what happened to me a couple weeks ago too when i tryed to report something.......

The traffic lights were out again at that intersection by Downtown Disney and people were 3 lanes deep on 4 sides and everyone was going when they wanted and i called the cops to let them know because it had been an hour since the lights stopped working and no one was directing traffic.....well the dispatcher acted like..."yeah, yeah....sure ....ill tell them about it"......he didnt care so i called back and a girl answered and i got the same response

I am just fed up because i have been in a hit-n-run and the cops didn't help.....i still have damages that i cant afford to fix......and another time i was run of the road and slamed into the guard rail and spun around about 3 times....i could have been killed in that one....and the cops were nowhere to help me....so for me i just snap out there and already have in my mind that there will be no help and that i could already be dead by the way people drive recklessly around me.....thats why i don't care if there is a gun....

u guys are right but really to tell u the truth i have no one to live 4 here but my mother....i have no outside family that i know that i can really talk to and my brother is stuck in another state kinda living homeless at least thats the last i heard... and he never calls......so i guess i just dont care and i get enraged at people who think being behind the wheel of a car gives them the right to intimidate or injure others because they want to break the rules for thier own needs.......

[quote=Magnulus;1444767]I think you should look for another line of work... maybe in another state. Pizza delivery doesn't pay enough. Let those stupid rich F$#Ks get their own pizza in their own car. I cannot imagine a more grinding job than delivery.

Thanx for the advice.....I am basically at this job right now because of problems with my knee and it pays more than the usual 7 - 8 dollar an hour job .......and it feels good having money in the hand everynight too.....but yeah it is hell on the car ......i spent about 1000 dollars on repairs 2 months ago......but i am trying to decide my next step right now in the next couple of weeks.....i was going to DeVry and was 5 classes away from graduating and then everyone that was living with me and my mother in the house just decided they wanted to leave so i had to quit school for a while until we got back on our feet and now things are better but i am kinda pissed at the people at DeVry and it makes me not want to get into that field my degree was in now....(thats a long story).....but i am planning on at least finishing after i save enough money for my teeth to get pulled since i dont get insurance delivering pizza....they are killing me.......but i want to get into the coca-cola company and maybe deliver for them because the pay is good and they have insurance and benifits but thats a long road and i need to study for the CDL liscence and learn how to drive one of those trucks first....i doubt i can take out a loan for it since i owe DeVry 40k in loans.......well sorry this was so long but things arent black and white in life and there are reasons we all have for being where we are....thanks for your advice again

That's weird. I notice that in my neighborhood in East Orlando people pull up in the driveway and rather than get out and ring the doorbell they lay on the horn. This could be at any hour of the day. There are lots of stupid + inconsiderate people in this area.

THASSPECIAL, someone mentioned working a similar job in another town. From your posts it would seem a good idea and I am in the process of relocating. For a city of 200,000 people life in Orlando is far more stressful than it should be. The level of stress is like life in NYC without any of the advantages. If you're looking for a small-med sized city I'd suggest a place like Louisville or Lexington, KY. I visited there a few years ago and was impressed. An overall safe place with kind people. Good luck in your decision.

Actually i lived in Nashville before which is in the same class as the towns you mentioned.....and i liked it there....but I love Florida.....i was born and bred here......It is an average life working paycheck to paycheck and dealing with the stresses you are talking about that Orlando has, but if i was making some serious money then this would be an awesome place to live.......there is lots to do here and the beaches are close and i love the beach too......but i am just not making alot of money to make any moves right now im just figuring out what i should do at this point for my personal situation......are you planning a move to Kentucky soon or are you going to stay where you are at?

That is pretty rude of the pizza drivers in your area.......unless they have an uneasy feeling about the house they are delivering to.......i have never honked my horn in front of a house.....usually if i have a problem or feel unsafe i give the customer a call and have him show him/her self at the front door so i can get a better idea of whats happening.....It "can" be a dangerous job sometimes......i work at a pretty safe area out by the attractions so im not delivering to alot of houses (80% hotels) but we did have a driver that was robbed at gunpoint at the "Sable Palms" apartments in Lake Buena Vista....i wouldnt consider it a bad area at all but i guess that stuff happens even in the $900 a month one bedroom apartments too.......it just happens that the guys who did it were 3 black guys and they robbed a driver from another store too......but i dont feel unsafe delivering in this area but im always watching my back just incase because i hear the news and have experienced being robbed at gunpoint a few years ago when i was buying gas at 7-11 in Altamonte Springs
