Hi there, from reading I see there are a lot of people that are very knowledgeable on the lake Mary area so this question is directed to them. My husband, 2 sons aged 13 and nearly 8 and me are moving to lake Mary around end April or may this year. We are currently looking at a property in timacuan. My question is this, since we will probably have not bought until about April we would have passed the deadline for putting in the choice for the NW elementary cluster , what will then happen , will my son just be placed randomly in a school, should I be concerned, are all the schools good? I believe the closest school is crystal lake elementary

My understanding with cluster is that it's school choice. Depending upon where in Timacuan you're located, the closest elementary school to you could actually be Altermese Bentley in west Sanford which is excellent (an A+ school) and not overcrowded from I've heard. Crystal Lake isn't bad (a "B" school) but is probably the weakest in town.
