I am moving to Orlando and I have found so many areas to move into. My daughter and I are moving in the beginning of March. I will be attending UCF in May but I want to live about 25-30 mins away from campus. I found some places in Winter Park, Altamonte Springs and Orlando, Metrowest. Are those good areas? Also there are some places on Lee vista blvd, HAmptons at Metrowest, Conway rd, kirkman rd. I just need help because I found so many places but I dont want to move in a bad area. Please HELP!

Metrowest is well beyond 30 minutes from UCF with traffic. Winter Park and Conway are the only areas within your commute time and safe.

Most of the places you mention are hell holes.

You're looking in the wrong direction and WAY too far away.

Look in Oveido. Generally good schools and would meet your 20-30 minute commute requirement.

MetroWest - No. Too far, too much traffic, too much crime. What is your budget for rent?

Compared to the intersection of Americana and Texas, I'd agree.

Gotta love the area around Wal-Mart and Valencia, such a great neighborhood. Let's get real There are some decent parts of Metrowest, but overall it's not a desirable area and it's not getting any better with time.

It's not any worse than any place on the west side. Even the area you mentioned.

If I see yuppies jog and walk dogs on Metrowest Blvd and Hiawasee(between old Winter garden and Conroy), that should show you that Metrowest isn't as bad as you and others on here make it out to be.
